User Centered Programming

Labs


The labs, which are held on Fridays 9:00 - 11:40am in room GH411, are an important component of this course. Each lab consists of a set of experiments and exercises. Each lab is worth a specific mark (please see the course outline for the grading scheme for the course). The labs will be instructed by the teaching assistant.

    • Print a copy of the lab handout (above link) and bring it with you to the Lab
    • Download the file CoffeeBar.java, which is needed for the last exercise
    • Find out who is your partner: pairing list
  • Lab5. To prepare for this lab:
    • Print a copy of the lab handout (above link) and bring it with you to the Lab
    • Download the file Star.java, which is needed for the first three exercises
    • Find out who is your partner: pairing list
  • Lab6. To prepare for this lab:
  • Lab7. To prepare for this lab read the articles mentioned in the lab. It is assumed that you have read the J2ME tutorials under lab6 (see the links to J2ME tutorials under lab6)
    • Print a copy of the lab handout (above link) and bring it with you to the Lab
    • The lab must be done in groups of 2. You must team up with another student.
  • Lab8: Demo Assignment#3 to the TA as discussed in the assignment. No marks will be given to students who do not show up to help their partners with the demo. The Project's Design Document is due by the end of the lab. Submit a hard copy of the design document to the TA, make sure the names of all group members are on the cover page.
  • Lab9. (Handout will be given at start of lab). The lab must be done in groups of two (and ONLY TWO), and you are free to choose your partner for this lab
  • Lab10. (Handout will be given at start of lab). The lab must be done in groups of two (and ONLY TWO), and you are free to choose your partner for this lab
